Late last year Love Stuff Box was born.
I've wanted to work for myself, own my own business for a few years now. I spent a long time trying to come up with a viable solution - one that I wouldn't need thousands to start and one that wouldn't take forever to set up. Don't get me wrong - I'm not opposed to saving and working hard to get what and where you want. I'm all for it, and that's exactly what I intend to do to get where I want to go next, but I needed something now.
I have a long list of things that I want to do this year [and an even longer list of things that I want to do, period]. Love Stuff Box is the beginning of what will hopefully be a very long road, and I am very excited about it!
So, what is it?
I like describing Love Stuff Box as a little box of lovely handmade surprises delivered to your door every month - a present to yourself or someone you love.
What inspired it?
Initially I got the idea from the ever-popular beauty boxes and Umba Box in America [which usually has one or two larger handmade items in it for $25 a month]. I thought that it would be fun if there was a box that had a few more [3-6] items in it. There are so many talented creative types that I've stumbled across and I would love something from all of them - this is an interesting way to get that, and with the added element of surprise. Yay.
What's going to be in it?
Each box will contain a variety of stationery products, art/prints, bath & beauty products, jewellery & accessories, bits for your home and treats of the edible & drinkable kind. Each box will also contain sweet little extras and exclusive offers, discounts and even the odd competition! The best bit [in my opinion] is that all of it is handmade and/or from independent sellers and small businesses, located in the UK.
When?
I've sent out three sample boxes out today [more on those another day!] and if all goes to plan, the first boxes will be ready to roll at the end of February! Yay! Aah!
Where?
For the moment I'm only sending Love Stuff Boxes out to UK residents. I have full intentions to expand to other countries in the future, but I'm taking baby steps to make sure that everything is as perfect as possible - no running before you can walk and all that!
How much?
£15 per box or £40 for three boxes. The price includes P+P!
